Mary Ann Hutton Berg

I was born in 1956 – second of eight kids to Donna Jepsen Hutton Polzin. I have four sisters and three brothers – and two dads!

My dad, Ivy Hutton, was a good old boy from Oklahoma and married my mom in 1954. Together, they had six of the eight of us. Sadly, my dad passed away in 1967 at the age of 34 leaving my mom a widow with six kids.

My mom met my step-dad Wally Polzin in either late 1968 or early 1969 and they were so taken with each other that they married shortly thereafter in the summer of 1969. Together, they added to more girls to the brood.

We grew up in several cities and towns…Washington Island, Sheboygan, Algoma and Peshtigo.

Eight kids and two dads make for some fertile fields to write from. Toss in some memories from the here and now and you have a repository of my life! I hope you enjoy my stories.
